Women's Retro Urban Wear

Here are the 6 sketches from Women's Smart Casual Urban Wear SS'12 Collection.. I love making illustrations but I guess I  love making collage better.. With some retro items and and retro colors and bokeh effect brushes, here are my retro backgrounds.. Generally I try to take a specific item in my designs which I use in all of them to make them kinda follow each other.. And here, it's sweet little cats :) Enjoy ;)

Children Project

Here's our Cinematic Children City Wear SS'12 project! My theme included a lot of vivid and retro colors combined together and I took retro Mickey Mouses for my common theme element.. This work includes handwork, photoshop and illustrator.. 

Balmain Inspired Illustrations! Part 2

Here's my last collection concept project of the previous term! Our theme was to bring out a collection using opposite inspirations such as 'good-bad, old and new etc.'  For this collection I picked the futuristic and historical inspiration. For the futuristic part, I was inspired by the futuristic architecture, and for the historical part I was inspired by the intriguing Tudors family from the 16th century.. And as my influence I selected my favorite brand Balmain!

Balenciaga Dress Sketch!

Here's a sketch of a evening dress that belongs to French fashion designer Christobal Balenciaga, 1959.

Made of pink silk gazar with matching pink feathers..

Beautiful Woman Illustration!

This illustration I made using markers, artliners, 4b pencil, a little bit of make-up and photoshop for the final touches.. I really loved this woman when I saw it on the magazine, she is beautiful..  So I tore the page, and saved it.. And I guess I'm happy how it turned out at the end.. :)

Bacchanalia of the Colors!

This was my second collection for our Collection Concept Lesson in LaSalle.. This time our pretty teacher Natia Nemsadze asked us to create a ethnic resort wear collection called 'Bacchanalia of the Colors'.. So I prepared this mini collection inspired of Mayan Culture..Hope you'll like it ;)

P.S: I dedicate this collection to Natia for today it's her birthday and I'm so thankful for what she has taught us.. :) Happy Birthday Natia!! :)

LaSalle Girls on Duty!

 

I tell my friends that I got no time to go out and have fun because of the busy schedule we have in our school, LaSalle... But I always feel so sad and guilty when I need to turn down the invitations.. Once again this week, we spent our weekend ( both Saturday and Sunday ) in school studying for our pattern exam which is on Monday.. I put these pictures hoping my friends will understand me better.. :))

And I hope we'll all do fine on our exam tomorrow :)

İstanbul Fashion Week 2011 Gizia ile Başladı!

 

İstanbul Fashion Week 2011'in açılışı bugün Gizia defilesi ile başladı.. Lasalle kızları olarak biz de defileyi takip etmek üzere öğretmenimiz Monsieur Guy Lamontagne feşliğinde oradaydık..  2012 kış tasarımlarının sergilendiği defilede baş tasarımcı Erkan Demiroğlu krem ve gri tonlarının hakim olduğu, bolca altın zincirle desteklenmiş şık bir koleksiyon sundu.."UNCHAIN YOUR SOUL GET READY TO FLY" temalı koleksiyonda kanat figürleri de aksesuar olarak bolca kullanılmıştı..

Defilenin baş mankeni ise herzaman olduğu gibi yine Tuğçe Kazaz idi..

Koleksiyondaki çantalar birer harikaydı!!! Ve bu puantiyeli mini gri elbise çok sevimli aynı zamanda çok da şıktı..

Defilenin tek hoşuma gitmeyen tarafı kullanılan gerçek kürklerdi.. Hayvan haklarının bu kadar ön planda olduğu zamanımızda özellikle omuza atılan tilki detayını hiç şık bulmadım malesef.. Fakat genel olarak izleyicilere çok şık ve elit bir koleksiyon sunulduğunu düşünüyorum..

Shelter of Hope!

LaSalle International Academy'deki 5.Donemin kapanışını 17 Aralık akşamı düzenlenen Styles and Trends dersimizin sunumu ile yaptık. 9 farklı grubun ayrı ayrı konularda projelerini sunduğu akşamda okulumuzun müdürü Selim Çeçen, öğretmenimiz Natia Nemsadze, Tasarımcı Gamze Saraçoğlu ve Mehtap Elaidi, Gizia'nın tasarımcısı ve Akşam gazetesi muhabiri juri olarak katıldı. İlk deneyimimize göre oldukça başarılı geçtiğini düşündüğüm akşamdan izleyenler de oldukça memnun ayrıldılar.. 

Aslı Erdem, Göksu Çetiner ve Zeynep Koşar üçlüsü olarak oldukça uyumlu ve içimize sinen bir proje gerçekleştirdiğimizi düşünüyorum. Evsizleri konu aldığımız projemiz; hem sosyal içerikli mesajlar içermesi hem de son dönem trendlerini iyi analiz etmesi bakımından jurinin de beğenisini topladı! Emeği geçen herkese teşekkürler!! :))
