Love Colorful Doodles!!!

I loooovee making doodles! I used to them in high school during the lessons.. Back then I thought they were only some meaningless drawings.. Not that I think they make a lot of sense right now but at least I learned they have a name in sense of art.. A lot of meaningless strokes and shapes plus a bit of vivid color.. That's just me!  :)))

With some retro items and and retro colors and bokeh effect brushes, here are my retro backgrounds.. Generally I try to take a specific item in my designs which I use in all of them to make them kinda follow each other.. And here, it's sweet little cats :) Enjoy ;)

Here's our Cinematic Children City Wear SS'12 project! My theme included a lot of vivid and retro colors combined together and I took retro Mickey Mouses for my common theme element.. This work includes handwork, photoshop and illustrator.. 

Balmain Inspired Illustrations! Part 2

Here's my last collection concept project of the previous term! Our theme was to bring out a collection using opposite inspirations such as 'good-bad, old and new etc.'  For this collection I picked the futuristic and historical inspiration. For the futuristic part, I was inspired by the futuristic architecture, and for the historical part I was inspired by the intriguing Tudors family from the 16th century.. And as my influence I selected my favorite brand Balmain!

Beautiful Woman Illustration!

This illustration I made using markers, artliners, 4b pencil, a little bit of make-up and photoshop for the final touches.. I really loved this woman when I saw it on the magazine, she is beautiful..  So I tore the page, and saved it.. And I guess I'm happy how it turned out at the end.. :)

Bacchanalia of the Colors!

This was my second collection for our Collection Concept Lesson in LaSalle.. This time our pretty teacher Natia Nemsadze asked us to create a ethnic resort wear collection called 'Bacchanalia of the Colors'.. So I prepared this mini collection inspired of Mayan Culture..Hope you'll like it ;)

P.S: I dedicate this collection to Natia for today it's her birthday and I'm so thankful for what she has taught us.. :) Happy Birthday Natia!! :)

Earrings with my initials!

 

Well my friends know really well that I'm someone who's obssessed with hoop earrings.. I just cannot give up on them.. In almost every occasion, no matter how many different style of earrings I try on, I finally end up with my lovelyy hoops on my ears..:) Therefore; I buy every color, every size and every different kind of hoops when I go shopping.. I really adore them..I think they're hot!!  Well this one I made with the pendants of my name's initials.. ( Asli Erdem)

But maybe it has some other meaning as well..Maybe I'm doing some 'secret' to call 'the one'.. Who knows..

Beni tanıyan arkadaşlarım çok iyi bilirki halka küpelere büyük bir takıntım var.. Onlardan asla vazgeçemiyorum.. Neredeyse her durumda, ne kadar değişik küpe denersem deneyeyim sonunda yine sevgili halka küpelerimi takmaya karar veriyorum.. Bu sebeple alışverişe çıktığımda her rengini, her boyutunu ve her değişik versiyonunu alıyorum bu güzel küpelerin! Onlara aşığım!! Bence çok seksiler!

Bunu ise; adımın baş harflerini taşıyan kolye uçlarından yaptım. (Aslı Erdem)

Ama belki de başka bir manası daha vardır.. Belki 'o kişiyi' çağırmak için 'secret' yapıyorumdur.. Kim bilir.. ;)))

Shelter of Hope!

LaSalle International Academy'deki 5.Donemin kapanışını 17 Aralık akşamı düzenlenen Styles and Trends dersimizin sunumu ile yaptık. 9 farklı grubun ayrı ayrı konularda projelerini sunduğu akşamda okulumuzun müdürü Selim Çeçen, öğretmenimiz Natia Nemsadze, Tasarımcı Gamze Saraçoğlu ve Mehtap Elaidi, Gizia'nın tasarımcısı ve Akşam gazetesi muhabiri juri olarak katıldı. İlk deneyimimize göre oldukça başarılı geçtiğini düşündüğüm akşamdan izleyenler de oldukça memnun ayrıldılar.. 

Aslı Erdem, Göksu Çetiner ve Zeynep Koşar üçlüsü olarak oldukça uyumlu ve içimize sinen bir proje gerçekleştirdiğimizi düşünüyorum. Evsizleri konu aldığımız projemiz; hem sosyal içerikli mesajlar içermesi hem de son dönem trendlerini iyi analiz etmesi bakımından jurinin de beğenisini topladı! Emeği geçen herkese teşekkürler!! :))
